The Program Committee is now calling for the Asia Pacific community to submit workshop proposals with the overarching theme of Empowering Communities in Asia Pacific to Build an Affordable, Inclusive, Open and Secure Internet. The deadline is 18 March, 24:00UTC (Sunday).
The Multi-Stakeholder Steering Group (MSG) is glad to announced that we have received a total of 78 responses from the Call for Input for the Thematic Survey opened earlier from 14 Sep 2017 to 22 Oct 2017.
The MSG would now like to open the call for local host to organise the APrIGF meeting in 2019. Submit your proposal before 10 Feb 2018. Check out more details in the RFP.
MSG invits the Asia Pacific community to contribute thoughts & topics of interests to shape the overarching theme and respective sub-themes for the upcoming 2018 APrIGF meeting.
Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) serves as a platform for discussion, exchange and collaboration at a regional level, and also where possible to aggregate national IGF discussions, ultimately advance the Internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region.
The Multi-Stakeholder Steering Group (MSG) of APrIGF is a self-organised committee with members from around the AP Internet Community formed with shared objectives.
APrIGF has been held in different countries and regions. Previous hosting cities include Hong Kong in 2010, followed by Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Delhi, Macao and most recently Taipei in 2016.
